John Jay College Teaching and Learning Center:

Weekday mornings, 10-11 am, the TLC seminar space is reserved for quiet meditation, reflection, and being. Faculty, students, and staff welcome to drop in.

Women’s Center for Gender Justice:

The Women’s Center for Gender Justice seeks to advance knowledge of gender equity and women’s issues through educational programming, counseling and activism. The center collaborates with clubs and organizations at John Jay and throughout the New York City area to promote gender equity, LGBTQ rights, anti-violence education, and reproductive justice. The Women’s Center for Gender Justice is a safe space for all students and their allies, and supportive of student diversity.

Department of Latin American and Latina/o Studies:

The Department of Latin American and Latina/o Studies is a safe zone from ignorance, bigotry and harassment directed at persons who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning individuals as well as persons based on race, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, citizenship, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age and ability.
Location: 8th Floor, New Building

JJ DREAMers Club

This student organization aims to educate and unify the student body on immigration issues, while representing and protecting the needs and aspirations of students both documented and undocumented. To join, contact club president Olivia Ramirez at olivia.ramirez@jjay.cuny.edu.

“Pizza Mondays”
Pizza Mondays during Community Hour, hosted by the department of Latin American and Latina/o Studies Department and SASP, will continue in spring 2017 (room TBA). This is a safe and supportive space where you can spend time with fellow DREAMers, discuss pressing immigration issues, prepare for action, hang out, and of course, enjoy pizza!
